Thanks so much for visiting our page. We're Caroline and Dave & we run Gert Lush Event Bars and we aim to provide you with an excellent, bespoke service to make your event gert lush!
We have over 15 years experience in the hospitality trade and we aim to source environmentally friendly products from local suppliers as much as possible.
We are located in the beautiful Devonshire village of Kenton near Powderham Castle, Exeter and we cover Cornwall, Devon and Somerset with our mobile bar services.
Hi & thanks for taking some time to read about us. I'm the managing partner of Gert Lush Event Bars and I have worked in the hospitality industry for several years.
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management, a personal licence and event planning qualifications.
My role in the team is day to day operations, marketing and if you contact us its likely to be me you chat to first.
We believe that weddings and events should be sustainable, while maintaining good value for money so we are always working on reducing non recyclable waste and adding eco friendly products to our offering while maintaining competitive prices!
Dave is a Project Manager by trade and manages operations on site at our events.
Dave's passion is ensuring we provide you with a bespoke service tailored to your requests and ensuring we always serve a nice cold pint (a passion that is very close to his heart!)
Dave is also very involved with our local community heading up a group working to save our local village pub from redevelopment.
First up we have Hamish, a 6 year old Border Collie with a passion for herding helicopters (don't ask) and is in charge of snuggles & training us to throw the ball over & over again. Then there is Holly, a 3 year old lab/collie cross who is chief pre-washer, security, packaging destroyer and general drama queen!
Not forgetting the last two furries our cats: Soots (aka Grumpy) who basically should have been called Garfield as he just eats ans sleeps all day and Tink (aka Asbo) who is chief knocker of objects onto the floor and pretends she's homeless for extra food!
Check out this video to see how we converted our horsebox into a mobile bar
