This wasn’t the year many or any of us planned but we want to reassure you we have taken steps to ensure we are following recommended covid guidelines and have been awarded “good to go” status from Visit Britain.
We‘re always flexible with deposits anyway (normally allowing refunds up to 28 days before) but during this time we will transfer deposits to new dates and issue refunds up to the week before your event.

Once we receive your message we will contact you within two working days to talk to you about your event, confirm if we are available and agree any special requirements you may have. We will talk you through the booking process and how to secure your event date with us. We can provisionally hold dates for up to two weeks if requested. We will also offer to meet with you either ahead or after booking to chat through options, depending on your preference and we also offer free taste testing of drinks for wedding drinks package bookings.
Nearer your event date we will contact you to confirm the arrangements for access and any personalisation you would like for drinks, service etc. We will also apply for any licences required at least 10 working days in advance of your event or wedding if needed.
On the day of your event we will usually arrive early to setup and make sure all the drinks are lovely and cold ready for the big event!
Hiring one of our mobile bars for an event is free if the event lasts 4 or more hours and you are expecting a minimum number of guests. Minimum numbers can be agreed, just drop us an e-mail or click the contact us link below.
We will provide a minimum of two staff per event and more if required, depending on your expected number of guests, stock and glassware.
Glassware provided will depend on any licensing restrictions and the type of event. We are happy to discuss any requirements with you.
Gert Lush Event Bars holds necessary personal licence to authorise the sale of alcohol.
If the place you are holding your event has a premises licence you won't need to do anything.
If the place you are holding your event doesn't have a premises licence, a temporary event notice will be needed. It costs £21 to apply for a notice. Here at Gert Lush Event Bars we want to make this process as easy as possible for you so we will apply for this for you without charging any administrative fee.
We have lager, cider and real ale on draught and a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks as well. We have seasonal cocktail menus or can create you our own.
We are more than happy to discuss any specific requirements you may have.
We can also provide hot drinks if required.
Our mobile bar has been designed so we can customise it to your requirements - whether you want a gin, prosecco, tiki, cocktail bar or something unique we can provide it!

There may be some restrictions on this depending on mobile signal in the location of your event as mobile signals in Devon are notoriously poor in some areas but generally this shouldn't be a problem.
As we are classified as a catering business we are registered with environmental health and will receive a hygiene rating soon and our staff have undertaken food hygiene and safety training.
We are fully insured with public and employee liability insurance to the value of £5 million.
Yes if you need a risk assessment or other health and safety documents we can provide these. Please advise us of your requirements when booking.
We are based near Exeter and cover Cornwall, Devon & Somerset mainly as we try to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. However, if your event is further afield we may still be able to help, get in touch we're keen to help if we can.
Because our horsebox mobile bar is fully kitted out, we don't need much setup time, we would normally require two to three hours.
If you are hiring our indoor pop up bar we would need four to five hours to assemble the equipment. The size of the pop up event bar depends on how you would like it to be setup, either as 1 long bar of 12ft or as a left or right hand corner bar (5ft each side with 2ft joiner).
As part of offering our services with no hire charge we ask for exclusivity of drinks and due to licensing laws, you would not normally be able to provide your own drinks.
We provide a wide range of drinks at competitive prices and will accommodate special requests for drinks so most clients are happy that we supply everything they need for a fantastic event!

We don't feel its fair to an event organiser or bride & groom to set a minimum spend that you then have to worry about during your special day so we don't require one.
